Recent Updates from the EGI Governance

We want to share with the community a few relevant updates from the latest EGI Council, held a few days ago.

Firstly, we are grateful to Tommaso Boccali, who has previously served on the Executive Board, for confirming his availability to continue serving on the EGI Executive Board for the next term. The Executive Board oversees the day-to-day operations of the EGI Foundation, and its members work closely with the EGI Director on operational, technical, and financial matters.

Then, we are glad to announce that UKIM, representing the Republic of North Macedonia and MARGI, will become a full member of the EGI Federation starting as of 1st June 2024.

Last but not least, the EGI Council established a Task Force to work on updating the EGI Strategy for the period 2025-2029. Based on the existing strategy, the Task Force will revise and update the strategic goals there outlined to align them with the next challenges that the EGI Federation will tackle.
