EGI Foundation: The EGI Foundation is the coordinating body of the EGI Federation. It was established in 2010 with headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In the area of data intensive computing, the EGI Foundation federates hundreds of data centres worldwide under the umbrella of the EGI Federation to facilitate access to distributed research data and compute facilities. The EGI Foundation actively collaborates with research communities, engaging them in co-design efforts. The Foundation coordinates the research and innovation efforts of its members, spanning technical areas critical to data-intensive science, including large-scale data processing and analysis, distributed AI/ML, federated identity and access management and the application of digital twins for research.

CSIC: The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) is Spain’s largest public research institution and a key player in the European Research Area (ERA). With over 126 centers, CSIC leads multidisciplinary scientific and technological research to advance knowledge and foster economic, social, and cultural development. It plays a pivotal role in scientific policy, bridging basic research with applied innovation, and contributes significantly to international collaborations, knowledge transfer, and advanced training.

LIP: The Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics (LIP) is Portugal’s reference institution for experimental particle physics and associated technologies. Established in 1986, LIP connects Portugal to CERN and participates in groundbreaking global research, including the Large Hadron Collider. With nodes in Lisbon, Coimbra, and Braga, LIP develops advanced instruments and methods, supports scientific computing, and explores applications in health, space, and industry. LIP is also committed to advanced training and promoting public engagement with science.
