EOSC Winter School 2025

20-23 January - Seville, Spain

The EOSC Winter School 2025 will take place 20-23 January 2025 in Seville, Spain. Organised by the EOSC Association, with the support of the EOSC Focus project and the HE EOSC-related projects, this year’s event will focus on achieving convergence and supporting the build-up phase of the EOSC Federation. It will serve as a powerful platform for harmonising efforts and strengthening collaboration between key stakeholders from across the EOSC community.

Who?

Participants will include representatives from the EOSC-A Board, EOSC-A Secretariat, European Commission, HE EOSC-related projects, Opportunity Area Expert Groups, and the EOSC-A Task Forces. This diverse group brings unique perspectives to promote synergies across EOSC’s broad stakeholder landscape.

EGI Foundation at the EOSC Winter School 2025

Mark Dietrich, a member of the OA2 programme committee, will present on the Green Deal Data Space within the OA4 track, as well as contribute to discussions on the Federation Handbook.
Nicola Fiore will co-chair the session “Enrolling in the EOSC Federation: First Experience from the EOSC Beyond Pilot Nodes”. Nicola will also moderate “Processes for infrastructure, VRE and other service providers to join the EOSC Federation” and introduce the EOSC Beyond Innovation Sandbox for integration with the EU Node to the community.
Sebastian Luna-Valero will showcase the results of deploying Pulsar on the EOSC EU Node, highlighting its impact on advancing computational workflows within the EOSC ecosystem.
Diego Scardaci, leading the OA4 programme track, will present key developments in the EOSC Beyond Concept Paper and the Federation Handbook, providing insights into the future of the EOSC Federation.
