Enhancing Secure Processing for Medical Imaging: The UPV Reference Node in EUCAIM

14 May 2025 - 14:00 CEST

About the webinar

Join us for an insightful webinar on the Secure Processing Environment of the UPV Reference Node in EUCAIM, where we explore how cutting-edge computing technologies are shaping the future of cancer research and medical imaging. EUCAIM (the European Cancer Imaging Initiative) is building a federated infrastructure to enable secure access, processing, and analysis of large-scale medical imaging data across Europe.

In this session, Prof. Ignacio Blanquer Espert will present the role of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) reference node in EUCAIM, highlighting how advanced cloud and high-performance computing (HPC) technologies, integrated with EGI services, enable scalable and privacy-preserving medical data processing. The talk will cover:

  • The computational and security challenges of handling sensitive medical imaging data.
  • How federated computing environments support distributed AI-driven cancer research.
  • The role of EGI services in facilitating secure, high-performance data processing.
  • Insights into real-world applications and use cases within the EUCAIM ecosystem.

Target Audience

This webinar is mainly intended for, but not limited to,  researchers, cloud and HPC specialists, AI developers, and medical imaging professionals interested in leveraging secure, scalable, and federated computing infrastructures for biomedical research.

Programme

20 min presentation + 25 min demo/tutorial + 15 min Q&A
