Gwen Franck is a Communications Specialist at the EGI Foundation. Her activities will focus on project communications and event organisation, and working on EGI’s internal and external communication activities. On behalf of EGI, she is Task Leader for the Communication and Dissemination tasks in the interTwin and SPECTRUM projects.
She has a master’s degree in Medieval History and in International Politics from Ghent University in Belgium. She started her career at Ghent University Library as part of the OpenAIRE National Open Access Desk in Belgium. Next to her work for EGI Foundation, she is also the communications and events lead for the Flemish Knowledge Centre Data & Society. Previous activities include the organisation of conferences and open science training, and the development of communication, dissemination and engagement strategies and campaigns, both in Belgium and internationally.
