Ignacio works in the Community Support team at EGI, where he is assisting scientific research communities to meet their data and computing infrastructure needs.
Previously, he worked for the University of Oxford (UK), Purdue University (IN, USA) and the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (Ispra, Italy). There, he designed and delivered data solutions based on distributed architectures, with a special focus on data interoperability, data privacy and security. He has experience in teaching, including languages and technical subjects.
He is certified as an OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional).
Ignacio holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford, and is a proud alumnus of New College. He also holds a Computer Science degree (Licenciatura) from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (Spain).
