Ville Tenhunen is the Data Solutions Architect. Ville is member of the Technical Solution Team which works with technology providers and research & innovation projects for technology scouting, innovation of existing EGI services and the piloting of new services and solutions following user and service provider requirements. As the Data Solutions Architect he assists communities in the integration of scientific applications with the technical and operational ‘Storage and Data’ services from EGI and its partners, and ensures that the data management services as well as community specific services are customised for, and meet the needs of individual researchers, scientific collaborations and emerging European Research Infrastructures. Ville has worked as a team leader and project manager in the University of Helsinki. He has also contributed to the project APIKS (Academic Professions in the Knowledge Society) as data manager and participated various Research Data Alliance (RDA) and European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) groups and activities. Ville holds a M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Joensuu (currently known as the University of Eastern Finland, UEF).
